Our £29 per person deposit is for flight-and-hotel holidays booked at least 16 weeks ahead, where the airline will hold the fare and the hotel will hold the room until the balance date. Not every holiday qualifies, and we never assume one does.

For example, two adults and two children on a £3,200 holiday that qualifies pay a £116 deposit (4 × £29), then the £3,084 balance 12 weeks before departure.

Jet2 holidays and villas have their own deposits. Jet2 take £60 per person when you book more than 12 weeks ahead. Villas take a 25% villa deposit when you book more than 24 weeks ahead, plus £29 per person for flights that can be held. Closer to departure they're paid in full.
